Shelsley oldest comptive motor sport event in the world
I was at Doune for the first time in 6 years on sunday. I noticed the cameras but didnt realise there was a stream, great to see. Hillclimb is a hidden gem of a sport and great for spectators.

At 45minutes in did you have connection issues? As it jumps from the first couple of cars in specialist production cars, to starting the second practice runs in the same class. 🤔
Thanks for checking. I've had a look and nothing was missed, though there was a slight glitch with the data shown on the left of the screen. There was practice for the weekend meeting and also some drivers in a Saturday only meeting taking place. As the timekeepers switched their system from Saturday event runs to weekend practice it caused the extra runs from first practice to show- which is right, it just looked a bit confusing on screen. I'll see if I can improve it. Thanks.

Why didn't the engineers consider to put wider rubber on the race cars of that era?
Good question, I don't know - limited manufacturing ability maybe? I wonder if anyone else knows?
@@HillClimbTV Well, given the high engineering complexity of the rest of vehicle - this car being a good example of that - it's hard to see wider rubber being insurmountable

Much better than Monaco! My first sports car was a new 1969 Austin Healey Sprite, but I've always had a soft spot for the 1949 TC MG. It's so enjoyable to watch them compete, Thank you.
